Finlay Beverages are pleased to announce their membership of the Common Code for the Coffee Community Association (4C) whose objective is to ensure social, environmental and economic sustainability in the production and processing of coffee.
The 4C is based on a voluntary code of conduct comprising 30 social, environmental and economic principles for all actors in the green coffee supply chain (such as farmers, plantations, producer organizations, estates, mills, exporters, traders, etc.).
The 4C is a tri-partite, multi-stakeholder organisation comprised of more than 50 members representing the most important constituencies within the international coffee community including coffee producers from Africa, Latin America and Asia, the global coffee trade and roasting industry, civil society organisations (NGOs and trade unions), governmental institutions and other supporters.
Our membership of 4C builds on Finlay Beverages long-term commitment to ensuring good practices and standards in their supply chain. As a founding member of the Ethical Tea Partnership (ETP) in 1997, Finlay Beverages have been proactive in industry and multi-stakeholder initiatives.
