Finlays earns sustainable agriculture certification from Rainforest Alliance

The Rainforest Alliance(RFA) has awarded Sustainable agriculture certification to our estates in Kenya, allowing us to sell RFA certified flowers and leaf tea from our Kericho operations.

In order to earn the Rainforest Alliance Certified seal, farms must meet rigorous standards developed by the Rainforest Alliance. The standards include protection of wildlife, water, natural forests, good agricultural practices and improving worker safety. Certification also covers assessment of workers housing, access to clean water, and our provision of education and medical facilities for our employees.  Sustainable agriculture certification requires growers to have a socio-environmental plan across all subject areas ensuring sustainable management of the standards in the future.
